As of Friday, Aug. 16th we are continuing support for flood-damaged areas in Bennettsville, SC. Unmet needs in the area at this point center on cleaning out and repairing the damaged houses. If you are able to head down there, even if just for a few days, to help haul out flood-damaged furniture, pull up flooring, tear out sheetrock, etc. please let us know! We can make sure you get connected to the right places and orient you to the work needed.

Cash donations are the most flexible and can move the fastest. Because the flooding from this storm is fairly localized, people in the impacted areas are able to drive to get what is needed with our financial assistance.

If you have a source for donated building materials, specifically sheetrock and flooring, we would certainly like to know about that! We have people available to transport material from the Triangle area to Bennettsville.
